Help Identify How These Windows Unlock

Have never seen these before. https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/384061/95756/pxl_20220…
I am unable to open the windows. Suspecting windows are jammed as house was unoccupied before we moved in.

Can't you squeeze along the right-hand side to loosen the lock and be able to move it that way? (e.g. once you've turned the key to the unlock position, you squeeze the lever on the right-hand side which lets you slide the window from left to right.)

Had these shit windows in my old house.

You need to unlock it and then lever the plastic cover plate so it unclips from the fixed/sliding window

  • OP, you're not the only one. There's so many postings on Product Review for A&L Windows asking how to unlock and open their sliding window.

  • Why ask us? Ask the manufacturer. Their name is right there in the image. A & L Windows. They have a web site with contact information.

Sometimes pushing the window ‘more closed’ helps release the catch (once it’s unlocked).

  • Thanks for your help everyone .I did head straight to AL windows website but there was no help article there. I was kind of worried that windows were jammed.
Sounds like i need to try to unclip the plastic cover . Let me see how it goes .
