Has anyone done this offer? I saw it last time but didn’t do it, it’s now re-listed.

Seems like a good deal. What are the cons?

    Cons:

    • $199 establishment fee
    • $5000 min line of credit
    • Citibank
    • 2 - 3 month wait for points
    • I didn’t see the establishment fee and thought it was a min of $500

      • $500 is the minimum for the balance transfer promo.
$5000 is the minimum for the Citi Ready Credit product.

        • That’s available credit so you wouldn’t pay interest on it until you spend it would you? Spend $500, pay back $490 asap then wait til you get the points and close it?

          • @HereToSave: True.
Assuming you're not chasing up the points in 3 months time.
$500 in flybuys dollars is not the most flexible.
Might also pay to look at what card offers are around at the moment with zero or low annual fees.

            • @randomusername2017: Yeah I’ve done a couple of cards this year. We do flybuys and Woolies rewards so it works for us.
I’ll wait and see if anyone has experience with this offer.

    • Found the 199 establishment fee so there’s points value down to $301

  • 100,000 points sounds like a lot, but it's only probably about $500 worth?
They'll make that back off you in no time!

Yeah $500 worth. I figured just get enough for the points then close it?

  • Interesting offer. So it's about $300 profit. I came here to read the comments after seeing this in my email sent to me earlier today.

It's valid until the end of August so no need to jump in right now.

    • Thanks for coming. It seems ok. Hopefully someone who has done it pipes in.

      • Well I'm out. I went through the application questions (using fake details to see what the requirements were) and it requires proof of taxable personal income of at least $40,000 to be scanned and sent to them. No thanks.

  • Did you end up doing this OP?

    • No I didn’t sorry. Went the Commbank card. Didn’t want to risk this one.
