Gee fellas, cut the seller some slack. It's not easy running a business you know! Before you all jump on the bandwagon and burn the guy, how about we check the information at hand? Oznetics has advertised his cables as "26 AWG cabling" and "Triple Shielded". The Ebay one is advertised as "28 AWG" (thinner cabling) and there's no mention of triple shielding.

Before we burn the fella at the stake, how about we all make sure we're comparing apples with apples?

And before anyone posts a link showing a cheaper deal on Ebay, keep in mind that Oznetics has an office, which means higher overheads than Vinh Thuay selling stuff on Ebay out of his parents house in St Albans will have.

And lets look at it for what it is - we're happy to go and blow $1499 on a new tv, $100 for a media player or new usb drive for said tv, maybe $200 on a floor unit or $25 for a wall bracket for the tv, and then complain about spending an extra few dollars on a HDMI cable from an independent retailer?

I'm not saying the deal is a good one - I'm just thinking there's better ways of negotiating better deals here, without resorting to attacking the retailers who try.

1.5m HDMI is the same as this one here. except the one here is selling for $10 after discount and the one in link above is $1.95 delivered. not to mention that, there are ebay fees needed to be paid by the seller.

not having a go with you but it seems like someone mass bought cables from a retailer and resell for profit. Seller of this deal should go shop around to make sure he got the stock from suppliers not another retailer. time to wake up, Australia retail!

      Simply No.

He deserves to be negged into the ground for how he has presented himself and his business.

He has the ability to repost this in the future acting professional and with a proper bargain.

Its ridiculously easy to do the above, he clearly just doesn't know how to do it and comes off as trying to milk us for as much money as he can.

It takes 30 seconds to search "HDMI sort:created" to see how much he should charge and if he should explain why we should buy his product.

Don't forget, Reps come to ozbargain so we buy their products, if they want sales then they need to make us happy.

Yeah respect for trying rep, but tight market for HDMI cables + OzB pickiness = no chance.

I agree with last 2 comments here. The seller is just trying to earn a living and there is no need for all this negativity. You don't like the deal, then neg it and move on. No need for stupid degrading comments.
Having said that, the poster should have done some research before posting the deal so this is probably a good and valuable lesson for OP.
    Live and learn i suppose.
