I'm currently in the market for a new phone.
I recently bought the Pixel 6 Pro but ended up returning it due to its many faults. Camera was amazing though!
I've read some reviews of the latest phones and cannot decide which one is good.
What I'm looking for:
I'm currently back on my old phone - Huawei P20 Pro 2 - which pretty much is a summary of what i'm looking for but its getting a bit old and slow.

I was tossing up between it and the Pixel Pro, Pixel Pro's battery life left a little to be desired so went with the s22+, S22 Ultra was a little too big.
I went with the Pixel 6 Pro - the battery is shite at first but once it learns your habits it becomes quite good. The camera is good. I also have a Poco F3 - the camera is mediocre but battery life is amazing & it's a pretty quick phone with a great screen.
Just wondering, how shite is shite in terms of screen on time? I average maybe 5-7hrs on my Poco X3 Pro, was wondering how good it was compared to a top tier flagship like a Pixel.
It's probably a dash more than the X3 but I think my Poco F3 is probably a dash longer. It seems to use less power when not being used if that makes sense.
I only owned the pixel 6 pro for 1 week and it was littered with problems. I totally agree - camera was amazing!!
Battery life was so bad, last half a day whilst my 2019 Huawei with heavy usage a whole day
It takes about two weeks of usage for the pixel battery to optimise.
My phone comes off charge around 7.30am and is about 10% by 11pm. Its my work and play phone so it's being used constantly.
Same. I have the S22+ and I think this will be a phone I hold for a really long time.

camera would crash and images came up with blank white squares & corrupt in the gallery
charge took forever
phone got really hot after 1 hour usage or less - generally just got really hot :/
reception was very bad and calls would drop out
fingerprint wouldn't always unlock
random restarts
there was an error with interface or something along those lines that would pop up on my screen randomly
brightness would adjust randomly without moving rooms or light situations
There were a few more issues but i cant remember.
I read online there was/were a few dud shipments of p6pro - maybe that was it? I also read some peoples back randomly cracked after a month usage!
Maybe i should also specify mine was a 512gb one - i wonder if that had something to do with its quality ?
Overall it was just a really bad phone but with a good camera. I've owned a pixel before and after the p6pro - I wont be purchasing a pixel again …
Similar issues here with just the Pixel 6, moved onto a One Plus 10 Pro as daily driver ;)
Daughter recently got a Poco X4 Pro, which imho, was better than the Pixel 6 (but camera lacks a little)!
How are you going with VoLTE on the OP10 Pro?

Yes, of course, VoLTE is not guaranteed on every call at present.. but nice to know it is operational! and very surprising and good news!
I have been following this thread for 5 years … so understand there's some complexity and luck with getting a VoLTE connection but good to know it is operational!

Hey Starlight8, despite the google ban on huawei….there are many work arounds to instal google play on more recent model huawei pXX pro. long,long,long battery life from 5000mahplus battery and exceptionally good photos..dualsim… even 5G
S22 Ultra ticks those boxes, at a price
