Install Apps from Other Countries on Apple TV

Recently figured how to install apps from other countries onto my Apple TV (Indian streaming services that do not appear in the Australian App Store in my case).

Basically created an Indian Apple account, added it as another user on the Apple TV. Switch to that account, install the apps. Came back to my user and voila, all my previous apps and Indian apps on one page!

This is soo simple it’s probably not worth a topic. But took me a good 5 years.

This needs a VPN or DNS service to actually watch them once installed. I use Getflix and works pretty well.

  • Yep! Handy for installing HBOMax and then making use of the Brazil/Argentina pricing to get it for about $5pm

  • This is great, I was looking at getting Googletv or Fire stick so I could side load the apps.. will give this a try instead so I don't need more devices

  • 5 years! Literally the first option of a 3-4 word google search.

  • Yeah, works well for USA and UK too ;) DNS4me works well for me, Getflix as a backup :P

I couldn't get the latest Fire Stick (Fire 4k max) to install any of the AU services (like TenPlay, 9Now, etc) :/
