Replacement for Audio Technica M50x for Gaming

Currently using the audio technica m50x for gaming but find after a while the clamping force is a bit too tight

Can someone recommend some headphones to replace these? I play mostly open world type games so don't really need them for competitive fps. Just want something that sounds good

Budget probably around the 200 mark. But less is always better

There's always alot of talk about the shp9500 but is that more for fps games?

Logitech G432s are pretty popular and currently on sale.

i've been extremely happy with the mh752's

  • something open like the dt990 or ad700x are better regarded than closed unless you need the sound isolation.

the best gaming headphones are https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/audio-technica-ath-r…

if you can find them 2nd hand, they should be around the $200 mark

  • open or close?

    • I've always had closed but willing to give anything a go. I just sit in my office so if anyone's going to complain about the sound leaking they can get stuffed lol

      • Try EPOS Game Zero

  • DT 770 Pro for Closed Back I love mine, They are $219 though but definitely worth it.

  • Coolermaster MH751/2
I'm currently using the 751 and am surprised by how good they are. They're light, incredibly comfortable and sound great.

  • sennheiser hd 569's if you enjoy the sound of the m50x's

  • I have Corsair Void

  • Many do praise the SHP9500 for the light clamping force and the expansive staging. Whether or not is "sounds good" though is subjective and depends on what kinda tuning you like.
