What Type SSD for Backing up?

Hey all,

Looking at a few SSD drives in particular the Samsung T5 or T7 and the WD e30

All under $160 each online for 1TB

Wondering anyone have good bad experiences with these drives?
What other SSD drives do you guys recommend under $200 for 1TB

I'm wanting to purchase about 3 or 4 drives just for backing up.

Any help will be much appreciated.

If its just for backing up the best SSD is a HDD. You can get one of way higher capacity for the same price, and you only need one to back up to, not 3 or 4. What's it matter if they are a lot slower.

Don't use SSD for backups. You need to keep them powered or they will suffer data loss.

Most SSD are not SLC anymore! They will suffer this problem.

  SSDs will be fine. You can leave them unpowered for years before fearing data loss.

What's the best 2tb hdd then you guys would recommend?

Which website did you find T7 1tb around $160??
I can only see $200+.. I was also planning to get one…
