  • Has anyone used https://mycoffeeshop.com.au/pages/about-us before? They are selling EUREKA MIGNON SPECIALITA for around $600 which is pretty good considering local stock.

Just wondering whether to go through the hassle of buying from overseas or go local.

    • Yeah, $699 for local stock is Ok.

    • Its good to support local, I got mine shipped from Italy in 4 days. The $599 model from the link has no screen.

On top of having no screen (analog dial to adjust grind time), the $599 Mignon also uses a smaller burr set than the Specialita

Recently used this deal. Paid $494 aud for the Eureka Mignon Specialita Coffee Grinder with the all black 15BL option and the coupon code above.

Performs like a real pro. Feels like the core parts will last a lifetime with occasional servicing. The hopper feels fragile but there are easy options to replace it if and when it breaks.

Delivery was about 7 days. Luckily the packaging was just enough to protect it from the knocks it obviously incurred during transit.

Essentially, you take on courier risk to save around $200, which may or may not be a good tradeoff.

  • can anyone share your experience with Espresso coffee shop? thinking of getting a LELIT BIANCA machine from them, only worry is cos it's being an expensive machine, how reliable are they when it comes to warranty and delivery?

    • My grinder was sent via UPS Express and took about 7 days to arrive. The last leg of the journey was done via CouriersPlease who just left the parcel on my doorstep without even ringing the bell! It was well-packaged and not damaged in transit at least.

I haven't had to claim warranty. From memory, they say on their site that if you want them to deal with any issues under warranty, then you have to send the item back to them at your own expense.

    • I've heard the story when the grinder had some issues in the first week of use. So they paid return shipping and sent another brand new one as a replacement. The whole exchange took a couple of weeks.

In another case I've heard the hopper was damaged in transit so they shipped replacement hopper.

Just ordered one and postage was €35, which brought the whole thing to $487.59 AUD for me, so about a $200 saving on Aus stock.

  • Apparently there is a 2022/V2 version of this grinder now available — does anyone know if Espresso Coffee Shop are shipping out the latest version?

    • +1

They replied to my question: “I kindly confirm that all our grinders are manufactured in 2022, however as fas we know, there is no V2 version.”

Probably just marketing BS. I pulled the trigger and purchased for $532 all up — black with the chrome finish. Hopefully it matches my Gaggia Classic nicely!

  • Anyone here have problems with electrical discharge? Sometimes the metal housing gives me shocks.

This post seems to have the same problem:
