Which Smart Watch to Choose?

Fellow Oz members, need your help to decide on the watch to choose.

I have 3 with me, 2 I bought (Fitbit Versa 2, and Active 2), and one for my kid (Watch 4). The kid has a change of my mind and doesn't want GW4.

I come from Fitbit Blaze and when I saw Fitbit Versa 2 for $140 - $60 GC, I jumped on it. Then went on to buy an Active 2 for $148. As I see my wife uses it and kind of like the round face. I was deciding which to keep.

To make it worse, the kid wants to return Watch 4 and a Garmin. So I am left with 3 watches in hand and a decision to make. Which one to keep?

Fitbit Versa 2 - $140 - $60 GC - Effectively $80?
GWA2 - $148
GW4 - $239

My gripe with GW4 was the battery, although they advertise it as ~40 hrs. I don't see a great +ve review for the battery and the internet opinion is mixed. I will be happy with 1 1/2 days and I exercise moderately when it comes to everyday fitness. Some say, they could barely make it through a 15-hour day. The batter hacks say turn off everything and you get 2-3 days. I don't see a point in getting it only to turn off everything.

GWA 2 - seems to last 2 full days so I wondering if it's worth keeping this over the GW4. My wife says she barely gets a day out of it. Probably not optimized but that's her experience with it. Again, the internet says they easily get 2 days out of it with moderate activities.

Fitbit Versa 2 - the huge bezel is a put-off and the lack of GPS + Speakers. But with 4+ days of battery life and at $80 I can't complain.

Expectation: Always-on off, ~2 days battery with decent smartwatch capabilities.

Which one would you recommend?

    Gw4.

It'll be supported for a lot longer.

Battery life is a pita, but I use aod and turn off the raise to wake function. All day hr, stress, spo2, snore detect. And I get about real life 28 hrs.

About 32 hrs if on power saving mode.

Much less than with Galaxy Watch3, let alone the og…

      stress

      Wow - stress detection

      puts on watch

      watch explodes

    • your gw4 is the 40mm ? i read that for all the galaxy, always go for the biggest size, and LTE.
      bigger size = bigger battery
LTE = more ram than the BT model. of course dont use the LTE function too often, just get it for the extra memory

      • Yeah I got a cheap classic 42mm bt (210)

Sold my galaxy watch 3 for 180. (Which I originally got for 200)

While the 45mm was great hardware wise, 42mm fits my wrist better.

I'm using the Galaxy Watch 4 currently, once it learned my usage patterns the battery lasts much longer (2+ days usually for me)

I got the GWA2 recently and loved it. Bought my wife the GW4 as a mother's day present and she loves it.

I ended up getting a GW4 as well, but only because it was on sale. Battery on GWA2 easily trumps GW4. Although GW4 has some better apps and can use Google Maps as example, if it weren't for the cheap aspect, I would've happily stayed with GWA2.

Thanks All. decided to keep the GW4.

    • thank (profanity), I've got the Active 2, the battery doesn't last past 24hrs reliably (I habitually charge it everyday with my phone)
