Ethernet Adapter for Chromecast with Google TV

Anyone have a suggestion for a budget ethernet adapter for a chromecast (with usbc)? So many usb hubs, which I would have through would have done this task have user feedback saying it didn't work for their chromecast.

Found one on amazon for $25 that has a picture of it with a chromecast, but only has 1 feedback, so not confident. I'd prefer to order from amazon if I can for quick delivery, but struggling to justify spending around $50 when my adapter for my previous chromecast ethernet adapter (micro usb) was $8 on amazon…

Here is the best i have managed to find. https://www.amazon.com.au/Ethernet-Charging-Adapter-Gigabit-…

Thanks for any suggestions.

    • Keep in mind that's not gigabit ethernet, you get 100 Mbps.

Highly unlikely the CC could handle faster anyway 330Mbps max

Handy for 4K remuxes, unnecessary for general streaming

Though if you have fast wifi, there's not much need to hard-wire (unless, as said before, 4K remuxes)

      • Unless you're internet is faster than 100Mbps, this won't be a issue.

        • Not quite, you could be streaming >100 Mbps content from a media server on the same LAN

          • @SuperMrBlob: Very finge case indeed…. But sure you could do that. But will the GTV device be able to handle decoding a stream of that size?

    • Thanks. Seems I may not be able to do much better than this.

I bought this one a month ago. No complaints.

    • Thanks. I did see one of those that got good reviews. Pity it's almost the same price as the original. I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be cheap versions around - even on aliexpress.

      • Aye it wasn't dirt cheap but it's the cheapest gigabit dongle I could find. Aliexpress has some cheaper 100 mbps dongles but I can't vouch for them as I haven't tried them - could search around there.
