2nd Hand White Goods

Any experience in buying 2nd hand white goods in Sydney? I have read mixed reviews online about their experience. Appreciate any recommendation for a good shop.

Have found this guy online but some deal is too good to be true. Wonder whether they are legit.

Find the ads for people selling a whole house of gear because they are moving interstate, overseas.
That way you can be pretty sure they aren’t selling something on its last legs.

  • Op, lucky was renamed from lucky removals earlier this month.
They might not be around next month, if that is a factor.

  • I was going to suggest 2nds World, but it seems in my absence our enemy HN has bought them out.

  • Gumtree, have bought a few things, current washing machine was a $1,200 machine near new, got it for $250 as the person was moving and it was too big for the new space and they needed it gone ASAP
Need to just do a bit of psychology and make a call as to whether the person seems legit and trustworthy

    • Agree. You assess the seller rather than the product.

  • There are inherent risk in second hand white goods. I ask myself whether I'm willing to risk losing out my purchase price within 12 months. These days I dont even trust my new appliances to last.

    • I can see a mountain of LG and Electrolux fridges from where I am sitting ATM.

Apparently LG are stalling on returns ATM, to offset slow sales (due to inconsistent stock supply)
