  • Even cheaper than the recent T2 cashrewards on the weekend!

Has anyone else found that T2's quality has gone down? The last bag of tea I bought for them just wouldn't steep at all. Needed to leave it for like 20 minutes to coax any flavour out of it.

      Try using boiling water

      • +2

No luck with boiling water. It was like boiling twigs. Might need to try supercritical water next.

Are these 4x better than Twinings @ ~$0.10/bag?

My ex used to love this shit and I honestly never saw the appeal. You get some different flavours/blends here and there but it's nothing better than buying random brands at the supermarket as far as I can tell.

Far from a tea enthusiast though, everyone's different I guess.

      • I totally agree. I got a box of Lipton 100's for $2.50 on the last Woolworths sale

        High maintenance type perhaps?

        • You're telling me

i mean its literally leaves in a bag. most tea enthusiasts laugh at most of the T2 lineup as tea sacrilege. if you dont want to buy supermarket try theteacentre at hornsby or piccadilly (or online). more traditional loose-leaf tea with quality ingredients. the irish breakfast is straight rocket fuel.

I think they are… but the usual caveats apply. If you're happy with Twinnings, there's no point changing.

They give more flavour and stronger tea. These bags have bigger pieces of tea leaf compared to Twinnings bags.

I recently picked up T2 tea bags on clearance and drank them exclusively for about 2 months. It took about a week to adjust back to Twinnings bags.

    • When it comes to black tea I much prefer Narada over these for both flavour and strength.
On the plus side, Narada is grown in Australia and much cheaper

    • Is any product worth more than the cheapest? Only you can answer that.

  • aim for under $20

I dunno, I've tried these in the past and I can't say I was that blown away compared with regular black tea (like Australian Afternoon Twinings) from the supermarket.

These guys are great if you like a loose leaf. https://www.tealife.com.au

    I get my T2 tea here https://funktionhospitality.com/categories/t2-tea/t2-tea-200…

$55 for 200 teabags is the everyday price.

Sometimes they do $10 off for new customers or have % off sales too.

    • Decent price, but $10 shipping kinda kills it

      • I live local and pick up, but once they delivered it for free which was nice.

  • this is yum 10/10

The 25 packs work out a bit cheaper per teabag.

    $7.56/25 = 30.24c per bag VS $20.52/60 = 34.20c per bag.

    • Damn you are right, fired off the order for the big packs too quick to read all the comments fearing OOS comming.

      • I did the same!! Managed to cancel before shipping and reorder. thanks SimonR89!

  • +1

The 25-packs work out to be slightly cheaper @ $7.56 per box (30c/bag).

They don't come in a fancy tin, however, better for those that wish to try them before committing to a larger amount.
