Team, I've been missing my Manna Beans. We're spoilt here for choice, especially (for me anyway) the Lime Blue Coffee and Airjo regular deals.

The last Manna deal was back in July 2021 - however the link still works woohoo. So I ordered 2 x 470g.

The Magical Unicorn is one of my all time favourite blends for milk coffees - it was good in my EM6910 (RIP), and post Christmas with my BES820 it's sensational.

I've just opened a bag of the Brazil Santa Lucia, and it is exactly what it says on the tin err bag.

        A while back there was a big hoo ha because they sent some religious stuff with their beans. I thought it was more amusing than anything, but it is a part of Oz Bargain history!

        They sent unsolicited religious pamphlets out with their coffee - I didn't appreciate it at all and emailed them asking why, but I unfortunately didn't get a response. I like their beans a lot but it did put me off.

          I got a response that was kind of "we don't care if you boycott us for this, we believe the world is ending and we're doing the right thing". Whacko stuff. But the coffee is great, and they did commit to not doing it in future.

      Mine was attached to some coffee skins used to make a sort of a coffee tea, so I felt it was a reasonable trade as the coffee skin tea was nice to try.
      I preferred it to receiving the 5 or so random hello fresh, naked wines promo junk that comes in some packages.
      It is just popular to rage against anything religious on the internet these days.

    Morning everyone, hope that you are all well and having a great week! I woke up this morning to a very busy inbox and many more orders than were expected lol. Thanks Willyroo for sharing your experience and promoting our coffee!

    The reason we have been quiet and haven't posted a deal for the last year or so was because I had a nasty accident and tripped over a coffee sack. I smashed my leg and knee and haven't been able to walk or move around much for the last 17 months. Because of this we decided to scale back the roasting a bit and just leave the link open for our regulars so that we can still service them but at the same time, try to reduce the load! Just for information and transparency sake and to keep you in the loop; our pricing of green beans has increased by around 70%-90% recently due to all the covid and supply chain madness, so at some point we may need to increase pricing. For the time being though, we have just left the pricing as normal for people as we know that times are tough!

    Regarding the gospel tracts that we have been sending out with a free sample of coffee cherry, I know that some people took offence and I'm sorry that was the case, but our intention was never to push anything on anyone, we were very careful to only send a tract out once per customer and people are welcome to do with it as they wish! They can read it or they can discard it and keep the free coffee cherry gift! It was done only to warn people and share how the bible says that as a free gift Jesus died for our sins on the cross according to the scriptures and that anyone who trusts in this and that he shed his blood to pay for our sins in full, will be saved from what is to come and spend eternity in heaven with a loving God! It is a free gift and can only be received by grace through faith alone! The bible says that it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

    We want to be transparent and everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. I don't believe in pushing things on people, there is already enough of that in the world and God gave us free will to make our own choices! For this reason, as explained, new customers receive a gospel tract once but we try to ensure that this will never happen more than once.

    As someone mentioned in the comments above, this is our conviction and we care about people's souls and it is more important to us to share the gospel at least once, than it is to make money or have a business! Like I said, God is all about freedom, which is why he gave us a choice and free will in the first place! We can't all have exactly the same opinion about everything! Free speech is important, without free speech we are just mind controlled slaves.

    Anyway, we appreciate you guys and will continue to roast as long as we can. We hope that you all are well and enjoy the coffees!

      Really sorry about your leg, what a bad time for that to happen. But I too am really thankful that you've kept the link open. I've been feeling a little guilty for using it because I was sure you'd be loosing money on the deal - but now that I know it was left open on purpose I'm happier. Didn't mind the gospel tracts - got to get the word out, but appreciated your explanation of why you did it. Will be more than happy to pay more for the beans when the prices go up.

After Flora and I walked away from a high speed motorbike crash the year before in Northern Thailand, with only bruises, I didn't expect it to be an empty coffee sack to take me down in such a severe way lol. Probably the most underwhelming injury story possible haha but that's life! Very blessed that I can still roast coffee and work a little bit now! I'm glad that you are enjoying the coffees and we appreciate you guys a lot and your ongoing support!

      I personally didn't have an issue with the religious leaflet, though not my cup of tea. I couldn't really understand the overblown reactions from so many… just throw it away if you don't want it.

      I couldn't agree more about Free Speech, which (by definition) will mean you encounter thoughts and ideas you don't agree with. Triggered snowflakes and cancel culture can go jump as far as I'm concerned!

For the time being we can absorb the cost but who knows what will happen with the supply chain down the track. It will most likely get worse! Definitely wise to stock up on some rice and storable food though in my opinion!

      Every time ive purchase through them it is incredibly quick - they ship express post and from clicking order to my door (QLD to VIC) its always under 48 hours. I assume the above message is from last year when they had their accident.

    Very happy with the speed of service and first taste of magical unicorn, and don't mind the attempts to politely save my soul. Just curious if they don't have roast dates?? or am I being dumb and missing them hidden somewhere.

      Glad to hear that you're coffee arrived safely :) 😁😁 All of the coffees are fresh roasted to order so never more than a few days old when we ship; for this reason we don't usually put dates on the bags. Coffee needs a few days to degas anyway to allow the flavours to develop fully before performing at it's best! Generally 3-5 days is enough, but some coffees for example most Ethiopians I find perform best at around day 12.
      Most coffee would be roasted and shipped the same day, but orders on Friday for example may not be shipped until Monday. For this reason, sometimes the coffee may still be a little too fresh upon arrival depending on shipping times.

    @mannabeans Another +1 to keeping the link going, I used it a couple of months ago and the "Brazil Rancho Pinhal" made one of the nicest coffees I've ever had! For my next order I'll be asking for more of that but do you have any other similar offerings? (oat milk, dual boiler, eureka mignon)

    I'm not the slightest bit religious so the pamphlet went into recycling but the Cascara was really appreciated, I've never had it before and enjoyed it!

Based on the details you outlined above and the profile of the Brazil, I would perhaps suggest 1 of the two Honduras coffees we have in stock, or I just found a 30kg bag of Brazil Vetentas here that I didn't realise I have, which would be a very similar profile. All of these would fit within the pricing for a deal, but I do have a couple of other new coffees in which you may like but a bit more expensive! I have a new Colombia Rafael Amaya just landed and also a Colombia Gaitana that you might like :) The Cascara is good cold brewed mixed with some fresh lime and spiced sugar syrup Appreciate the well wishes!
