    When you log in with your gamertag, you'll see the 2900 crossed out. I had to refresh the page after logging in for it to change

      It's not crossed out even after refreshing the page several time, hence my comment.
      Is VPN required?

      Make sure that you(r gamertag) have subscribed at least Xbox Gold Live(or Game Pass Ultimate) and go to the link provided (it goes to the Xbox JP store, not Aus). No need to change the region or VPN.

  Deal is over, shows as 2900 yen regardless if logged in or not. Have refreshed page multiple times.

  Normally when Gold free games don't show as free you just press on the price and it will ask you to login again and then you cancel and it's free. On this one I can navigate through all the payment screens and it shows my paypal email address so it is definitely logged in.

    Clicked link, logged in, then click install.

    Didnt see any payment screens or the like.

          @JuryWheel: When a certain game isn't available in the language of that region or unavailable for never being rated there for example they put in a substitute title. There's no region restriction on redeeming other regions free games though.

  I've managed to get the deat, but I don't get an install tab. The only tab that comes up is Detailed Information, which links to preparing the console for remote installation
