Did Anyone Receive Their $200 Gift Card from The Telstra Promo with Samsung?

As the title says, has anyone reiceved their code?

I've been on the plan for almost 3 weeks and I have received nothing. I've tried reaching out to Telstra but it takes ages to get connected and by the time I reply the agent disconnects :/

Any help would be much appreciated. TIA

  • Yep - did you add the SIM as part of your original order through Samsung Online? And then click through in the Order confirmation email?

  • I still haven't received mine. It's on the receipt and its been more than 2 weeks.

    Anyone found a way to contact telstra?

  • It's been a full month since I ordered my phone and 2.5 weeks since I installed the SIM. Still nothing. I'll contact them soon, hopefully they won't make it too difficult for me. Would appreciate any tips if anyone has them!

      I finally hassled the online chat bot until it gave me a reference number and promised it would be emailed and sms'd in 3-5 business days.

      But my month is up and I'm not paying for another month so I will wait to see if I get an email.

      • Pls let us know how it went, they were activating my sim for 2 weeks so I have absolutely no confidence in the 28 day promise they made.

    • Got it today! Telstra's terms said it would be delivered within 28 days of activation, and it was delivered on the 29th day.

      Incidentally, I chatted with a couple of different agents online with Telstra a week or so ago. Neither seemed to have any clue about it, but suggested waiting. I doubt my messages made any difference, but it may have.

    Gave them a call today because they were quiet with NSW being on holiday.

    Bad news is the billing team couldn't do much and they suggest it will come through in 2-3 months after the account has settled.

    So even though it doesn't appear to be listed anywhere, Telstra seem to want you to keep paying the monthly fee and then they will send you the $200.

    All in all, pretty poor experience with the plan starting as soon as it was delivered (not when i activated it) and 5G didn't seem to be much different for me in my area for latency when working on my laptop. On the plus side, because i ordered it on telstra day, the entire exercise only cost $1 and my time.

    Someone else might try giving them a call and twisting arms.

    I think the correct answer is - sign up, get a prepaid sim, convert from post paid to prepaid as soon as possible and keep hassling them.

      • About 6 weeks, but they only activated my SIM at the end of May and I wrote an email to [email protected] about the situation a few days ago..

            @brett-au: Contacted Telstra support, they said they 'see' my telstra SIM, but not the phone and suggested I email to this address.
