Overnight the next door neighbours, a dwelling which has a granny flat attached behind it has installed 14 CCTV camera's from what I have counted thus far, most capture a very clear picture of my property, the walkway to the property, and the car park.
The more I look, the more I am finding in different spots, corners, hidden in the brick chimney of the fire place

Kind of like my issue actually. I noticed that my neighbour was peering into my yard and eyeing up the granny flat that I've got attached behind my place, so I took to r/LegalAdvice to see what they recommended. They told me this was classic casing behaviour and that I should buy a bunch of security cameras so I bought exactly 14 and placed them at strategic points on my property. However this morning I noticed that he was taking pictures of the cameras and highlighting their locations, not unlike bank robbers scoping out a place for a heist. He even found the one I hid inconspicuously in the chimney, he's that determined. I'm scared, pray for me.

Lol, it makes no sense to me they're home all the time every time I leave my front door they're in the backyard doing something whatever the camera's capture, they'll be seeing it with their own eyes…
They could just have installed it, as they may have a friend in the area that was attacked, broken into etc.
We have 4 external cameras, some of which cover our neighbors yards (in case someone uses their yard to break in. The owner has no issue, as his daughter lives there by herself ATM, and there is an AVO on her ex-boyfriend.
I am not against cameras at all, it's 2022… But as you can see in the balcony pic there is a camera 1 metre apart looking the same direction, surely they would be seeing the same image but 14 cameras many just 80-100cm apart is next level.

I just had a look. Pretty good coverage, but maybe they should pressure clean their roof IMO.
We mainly got them as there was an ice addict that went haywire last year a few doors up. Plus I have a crazy ex-wife.
How old are they? Would they have installed themselves or gotten a company to do it?
Could be that they got fleeced by some dodgy security mob into installing way more than are necessary.
Pretty sure your neighbour dropped thousands of dollars to protect their own property, not to spy on you.
As mentioned, apartment complex, I am not at all saying they are spying on me I am asking if this situation with all these cameras some just 70-100cm apart pointing the same direction which would capture my front door of my property would make some of you feel uncomfortable.
