Dell 32 Curved 4K UHD Monitor - S3221QS for WFH?

I'm looking for a new 32" monitor for WFH. Dell are having a sale and the S3221QS is currently 40% off at $497. Is this a good value-for-money monitor?

Can anyone suggest other brands to look at please?

  • I found that x2 small monitors more productive than one big one for my line of work. If it's for gaming, 32" is perfect 😉

  • +1

I'm using this exact monitor for WFH and like it.
I work on a lot of spreadsheets

    • I'm using it, and I wonder if you have the same problem: does your screen flicker/blink black for less than a second occasionally? I think my old laptop is the culprit but not sure

    • 144Mhz

      Pentium P5 inside?

  • I've got 2 * Dell S2721QS (ie 27" 4K) for WFH. Got mine at $250 each earlier but they were on sale at $298 a few days ago here

Personally, I would never go to one big single monitor - easier to work with multiple programs with multiple monitors. Easier still with the 4K - you can snap programs to the side of each monitor and have 4 things open with still enough resolution to see/use them… Depends on your own work style too I guess but I just find it easier to have 2 distinct "workspaces"

  • Big fan of this at 120% scaling with a 2k 27” on either side although just one on the side is more than enough

  • LG 32" 4K IPS monitor is currently on sale at $697 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/704392
I was going to get the Dell S3221QS but found the LG is a better choice for me. LG is an IPS panel and comes with a decent monitor arm so I don't need to buy a separate monitor arm which would cost me another $150 (eg. DELL MSA 20).
This 32" will be my main monitor paired with a 24" monitor in portrait mode for WFH.

  • I find 4k resolution to be unnecessary for daily use and for work.I am having the exact monitor and I am always scaling 120% to 150% because the native pixels are too small which made all texts hard to read. 4k can only be justified by gaming. Having said that, this is a good monitor given its price is similar to the1440p equivalents.

  • I ended up buying the 34" Dell on sale for $599.
