Vivobook Pro from JB Hi-Fi - Do I Have Better Options?

Hi all, need a new laptop for uni and general every day use, with some light gaming of very low-mid demanding games. Nothing AAA ultra. Portability is more important than gaming capability.

Currently considering this from jb, just wondering if there's anyone else here with more IT knowledge that's willing to help me out with whether that is decent or if there's better options out there for the 1500-2000 budget?

If portability is a big factor I wouldn't be even looking at a big and bulky 15.6" 14" or smaller I would choose. I have an older xps 13 and it still plays some steam games ok. From memory the Razerblade was about $2k light portable and could handle gaming

    • Thank you, the screen size is somewhat important as I often have an office application running side by side with a browser window.

By portability I guess I meant more with regards to weight! Cheers

  • The ASUS ROG Flow X13 is a 13.3 inch gaming laptop with a Ryzen 9 + discrete GPU option.

You're looking at $2000+ budget though and that is the lowest end config without GPU. Sold by a number of big-box electronics retailers including JB HiFi and Harvey Norman, as well as all the computer stores.

The slightly less expensive option is ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14. The config with RTX 3050 will set you back roughly $2199.
