Thinking of getting a battery powered engraver to be used around the house, e.g. engrave name on wood handiwork and items around the house. Please suggest and recommend. Thanks.

I've got the Ryobi engraver/rotary tool, they had a good deal on it a few months back. It's really good, battery lasts ages and has a whole bunch of extra engraving bits etc.
I did try to cut aluminium (screen door frame) with it and it was not happy. Had to swap back to my 240v Ozito rotary tool there, but it performs pretty solidly for engraving and small polishing tasks :)
If you've got Ozito or some other battery system, check out if they have an option there so you can just buy a skin and not have to get a battery and skin.
