Vacuum Belt Replacement

Well i have a VUM33AS20G which is a Kmart special. However with dark carpet and 2 japanese Spitz it's died and I'm wondering if there is a more common belt I can use to replace it.

I've ordered some from eBay but rather go buy a local one tomorrow and use ordered one as a spare.

The corded ball Dyson simply does not pick up the hair.

  • Dear diary?

  • Buy heaps of rubber bands and glue them together

  • +1

Kmart isn’t in the business of providing parts. They might replace the whole thing if it hasn’t lasted ‘a reasonable period of time’

    • well i know that but this model is no longer produced by them, there is no point replacing the unit for a simple belt issue. A belt is a generic part i ended up grabbing a ymh28950 is a touch larger but should work for now

      • Good on you for having crack at fixing it.

        • its actully a serviceable part any vacuume with a powered head uses a similar system. I wonder how man vacuums have been thrown out due to this issue.

I had a kirby many years ago I got for free as owner did not want to wait for spares to arrive. Which was fixed then sold at a very tidy profit.
