I noticed on CW’s current catalouge (14-24 May 2012) that they are running some specials as had already posted/mentioned by other ozbargainers. However, no one seems to notice their amazing, if not crazy, offer.

On the last page of the catalogue it says on the top: “EXTRA 10% OFF RRP ALL FRAGRANCES INCLUDING SPECIALS”

Yes, RRP!!! Not the marked price!

This means that we can get, say a $12 perfume which is advertised as “88% off the RRP” since the RRP is $100 (you know CW usually states amazing RRP) , with $2 only!!!

I think we can even get better deals if they put even a foolishly higher RRP!! Free perhaps?

The point is, the bargain is depends on how we can find the biggest percentage of saving product of the marked price. The possibilities are endless.

So, it seems that with the amazing RRP, CW has turned the table to our advantage now. I agree it is not so much a deal when they say we are saving 35/40/50 off RRP because they do have funny RRP. But to save an extra percentage of that silly RRP is actually for our advantage.

    I wouldn't get too excited, sounds like a typo. I get really good prices there compared to my local pharmacy so I'm not going to give them a hard time for a little human error.

    If its true, I know what I'm doing in the morning!

    p.s. re: RRP, it is exactly what it stands for, "Recommended Retail Pricing" and some places cough Myer and David Jones actually sell these things at full RRP!

      agree, its going to be 10% off their already low marked prices. RRP is usually more expensive than marked price so if it really is 10% off RRP, then its not much of a deal. I bought some FCUK Him from there for (marked price of) $15 the other day - selling for three times that online.

      Well, I do remember seeing a women fragrance there selling for $9.99 (but not sure what brand it is) saving 90% off RRP ($99 RRP). If this is true then this promotion will bring it down to 9c ($9.99 - $9.90).

        It is kind of obvious that the sale is an extra 10% off already reduced prices. You have taken the RRP too literally and it is most likely a typo. There ain't gonna be no 9 cent fragrance!

    I suspect the online price already reflects the extra 10%. There seems to be no way of checking the current %age of discount, therefore it's difficult to check what 10% extra is… I guess the only way of knowing would be if you had prior knowledge of pricing.
    I can say that cool water is normally around $30 when on special, and today it's priced at $27.
    Still… Worth a + as I hadn't noticed it before :-)

    edit, black xs is also at a very good price…

      Until someone confirms they've made a purchase for $0.09, or gets the $12 perfume for $2 as suggested: no bargain.

    I can confirm it is 10% off the sale price.
    Becham signature RRP was $49, sale price is $14.99 less 10% discount offer its was $13.49.
    GF is happy!
