Toyota LC Prado VX 2022/2023 Best Pricing

Anyone has recently placed an order for a Toyota LC Prado VX? Trying to understand what should be an acceptable discount in the current market.

Getting one delivered in a timely fashion is what I would call an acceptable discount in the current market.

I'm pretty sure, I've seen this question asked before.

One of the highest demanded vehicles on the market with long lead times. Why would they offer you a discount at all?

what should be an acceptable discount in the current market.

You might be lucky to get free mats.

    30% off or walk away
Car manufacturers are desperate to sell cars at the moment, especially those pesky soccer mum four wheel drives…

I've been waiting for one of the "I got 25% off my 2023 Prado. Put in my offer, got 25% off and had it in a week. You just need to be firm or threaten to walk" geezers to show up. So far, I'm disappointed.

      • Give it time.

  • Ordered October 2022 , $78,500. It's arriving this week.

What time machine did you use? I want to order a car after it arrives as well

Dealer saved me $17k swapping to a GX 👍

  • Free Mats and Full tank of fuel will be acceptable discount in the current Market.

  • Expecting discount on high demand product = Sense of entitlement?

  • Read reviews of car brokers and see what people got recently - e.g.

    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/motor-scout?q=prad…

Use that as a guide to negotiate directly, or use the broker.

  • Discounted prado?
    Ah yeh nah
    Not in this climate

  • I guess we were over due for someone to ask this … it had been 2 hours.

    Lol….

  • $89k Prado Kakadu order placed Feb 22 and so far has no allocation of stock, was initially promised June 22 delivery but it's probably a hoax.

  • $73K on-road for GXL, white pearl, full tank, and transport from VIC to NSW.

Waited about 6 weeks all up. Scored it through a car broker so unsure if it was a canceled order, etc.

Not an amazing deal, but considering the wait was basically nothing and still cheaper then RRP with transport, I'm happy.

    • Would have been a cancelled deal or just damn good luck. My co-worker has ordered a white GXL with leather (to replace her existing white GXL with leather). She ordered just before Christmas and the original delivery date was April. She's now currently looking at September. Think she's paying about $76k from a local dealer for hers.

      • Most likely canceled order, beggers cant be choosers.

If I were patient I would have gone with a VX, but still very happy with what we got.

  • Wondering if the current rate rise, financial market volatility and downturn in property will impact demand for cars - especially the discretionary ones like soccer mum trucks and the like.
