I did not know about this discount until today, but Medibank Health Insurance customers get a discount on their health insurance if they notify Medibank of their concession card number.

I asked about it to confirm that VIC wasn't included, and they mentioned hospital (I can't access the chat history right now to confirm exactly what they said but I'm pretty sure you need hospital cover too)

Most Concession Card Holders on Government benefit (eg unemployed, pension - like Aged or Disability Support) are at or below the poverty line for income.
So how would they afford private health insurance, even with a $1.50/wk discount?Possibly aimed at wealthy Self Funded Retirees with Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Card. That Concession Card is being expanded after the election.
Each State has its own Seniors Card, which is easier to receive.
