Similar performance to Xiaomi Mi Air purifier 4 Pro, double the price. Filters/spares probably less accessible too.

    • The Conway models have some really good reviews (consumer reports had some Conway models as their highest scoring). Xiaomi were pretty average.

Expensive doesn’t equal good, but cheap doesn’t mean equivalent. In this case, xiaomi might be “good enough” though - depends on the consumer.

You’re probably right about filters - it’s harder to get Conway air filters here, they didn’t seem to distribute in AU much.

    Why is a CADR of 378 m3/hr @ 44.3dB for $800 meant to be a good deal?

You can get the IKEA STARKVIND with CADR of 270 m3/hr @ 53dB(A) for $199 https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/starkvind-air-purifier-white-60461951/

Even comparing at the same noise level the IKEA STARKVIND can do CADR of 190 m3/h @ 43dB(A).

So for the same noise your air purifier costs $2.11/CADR while the IKEA one costs $1.05/CADR.

This is not a bargain, just a blatant ad.

The ikea units were pretty poor quality and tested badly (and I’m a big ikea fan). CADR is a terrible metric to base a filter decision on.

As the rep marked themselves as an associate, and companies advertise on here all the time, I’m not sure why this one earned an unwarranted neg. Can you find a cheaper price?

      • Why is CADR is a terrible metric to base a filter decision on? Why is the ikea unit poor quality?

  • In this price bracket I'd suggest you'd be better off spending $129 more on a Bluair 3610 and save $129 on each replacement filter. I couldn't be happier with mine. The whole range has consistently good reviews.

    • Filters are 149 and says to change every 6m?

  • Also $799 on Catch, MyDeal, Matt Blatt. Appears to just be a price reduction in that model.

  • only worth it if located in korea imo
