Hi All, my mate is trying to sell his old Laptop but not sure what the price should be. He thinks its worth at least $1500.
It was bought last year (August 2021). A brand new one at Harvey Norman is $1296 + $100 gift card currently
(don't know if normal or sales price) but that one comes with the standard 500GB SSD and 8GB RAM.

He's been using it for music production, but plans on getting a Macbook Air M2 as he can't stand the battery life on it
when it's not plugged in. What do you guys think its worth now?
So discount the HN $1296-$100 by say 20% for cheaper computer stores, so $956
Then add 32GB RAM, but as there is no speed given asuming DDR4, so add $200 for 2 x 16GB sodimm from Amazon
Then add 2TB 980 pro $388
TOTAL = $1544
The as it's second hand and no warranty and no idea how it has been used or abused or scratched etc pick say between 60 and 75% retail, So between $926 and $1158. And depending on the battery life less and if there are any scratches on the screen then way less and if there are any dead/bright/not working pixels then more off.
