This is cut price, they took the "a" out to keep costs down.

  • indeed CPU #16 http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist…

But if u want to gaming why dont spend this much $ on a desktop that u can upgrade the component later on.

  • It's the best price around however the ram and especially the video card are a let down.

Good laptop but 3 year old 40nm re branded garbage of a video card!!

If your getting a 22nm CPU you must get a 28nm GPU with it or use intergraded to save battery ..

HD7730 (or higher) or GT640M ( not GT660M or GT670M as they are rebranded OLD 40nm cards. )

  • Is the Inspiron R se a better deal or is the Asus a better machine?

  • ASUS doesn't know that they have this model …

link in description is SO wrong

    • The R series is apparently a rebadged N series.
      No clue why though.

      • Yep, it's the new N56 everywhere else in the world, dunno why we get this renamed nonsense

wouldn't buy from megabuy no matter what's the price!
and yeah megabuy, you could start stocking up these laptops & sell at a higher price?

    • Nevabuy is its nickname apparently, not sure why - no need to buy anything yet from them :p

    • maybe I'm not up on the word about megabuy, i've only shopped with them once recently buying one of those 32GB USB drives which incidently was DOA but I never got around to returning till about 6 weeks later. They refunded the money in full and were apologetic about the problem even though it was not their fault. So I found them reasonably pleasant dealing with.
