Is There Such A Thing As A Breathable Oodie?

So I joined the Oodie craze (or rather the cheaper knock off…), but the polyester sherpa lining gets way too hot and is not breathable at all. I've looked at all the major competitors (Kmart, Big W, Oodie, Harris Scarfe, etc) and they all seem to be 100% polyester. Is there any oversized longline sweaters / jumpers that are still soft, fluffy and warm yet also breathable, perhaps with a bamboo or cotton mix with the polyester?

    • Breathable is what I'm looking for. There's a lot of difference between fabrics.

I think you are after a dressing gown. https://www.ebay.com.au/b/100-Wool-Vintage-Sleepwear-Robes-f…

    Or a blanket robe https://robeology.com.au/

I don’t think I’ve seen any Oodie gas.

Never found it. I wanted an Oodie but refused to buy due to the polyester. Keen to know if there's a cotton or bamboo option out there.

It defeats the point unfortunately. Someone once told me that to keep my feet warm i need to make sure the socks i was wearing at home weren't breathable.

The oodie did get too hot for me the first time i used and i did think or returning it but i have now gotten used to it and stopped wearing think long sleeved jumpers at home. I do take it on and off if the heating is on.
