@CVonC: It was saying Tomorrow some time before. I land on same page and eyes skip the part they already seen. /rant

No sales from me suckers, fix it for the next time lol

            • @[Deactivated]: It says tomorrow before midnight. Automatic switchover :)

Macbook M1, only got 5% discount, not 20%

    • +4

      10am today.

  • This macbook Air refurbished?

  • Any of the Oppo phone's a notable steal?

    • was looking same, seems most of 5g is SD 480, not so sure how good they are. Anyone one else have any suggestions.

  • Any way to get these discounts in a store?

  • Ipad pro 11 m1 a good buy?

    • Dont think so. It's nearly end cycle. M2 just announced last week. So I think Apple will release the upgrade version soon, probably September.

    • New one incoming… current model is quite old now. Just need to factor that in to your decision.

    • Yes, M2 is coming, but it's a pretty steep discount all the same. I expect that, in 12 months when there are refurb M1's in the Apple store, they probably won't be any cheaper than this.

    • +1

Still a good buy, as long as you don't care about any upcoming refresh on the 11" display being upgraded to Mini-LED in future.

M1 iPads will be capable for a very long time IMO.

  • Is this live now? I'm trying to buy the Logitech MX Keys and it's saying:

Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

Edit: I see the linked post says:

Another ebay EOFY sale starting Monday 13/6 at 10am AEST.

  • Did the code work for anyone?

    • +1

      It starts at 10am

  • Ipad (9th gen) price jacked already. Now $515 (so $16 more than on Apples site) :(

    • +1

      Wifi 64gb is $515 on W1 ($412 after code)
Apple price is $469 - works out to be ~$50 cheaper, no?

      • Did they just remove all 9th gen ipads 10min before code goes live?

  • Airpods only $20 cheaper than Amazon :(

  • Hi @dealbot,

Is there any mobile offers on Xiaomi (MI) or One Plus mobiles in this sale?

  • +10

M1 Macbook Air's now out of stock right before sale starts

    Not suspicious at all!

    • +2

yup. something else i wanted went OOS

    • +2

M1 iPads also… yet the recent sales does not list any sales in the last month. They had stock last night.

      • I managed to pick up an iPad Pro 11 128gb, wanted the 256 so they might have done it for that.

  • +5

mysterious! Even though it hasnt started the thing I wanted just want OOS.

  • +6

Negged it. They marked things OOS prior to the sale commencing

    • +1

To be honest, If they can't take a 20% discount on something I would rather they removed it then jacked it up to look like they can.

  • +1

    dogs pulled ipad pro M1

    • They did? The 12? I see the 11 there still, and I just pulled the trigger on one (wifi 128gb).

      • Damn you. lol. i had it in my cart at 8am in anticipation of a run… punched in the code at 9.59, did it a few times, bang it worked… but immediately out of stock.

    • there was only 1 in stock for the 256GB one, it's first to cart, not first to checkout by the looks of things. I had it in my cart with coupon applied, PayPal authorised, and it went out of stock…

  • iPad Pro 11 at $951.20. Awesome! Thanks OP!

  • Got the LG 38 inch monitor

    Thanks OP :)

  • +1

gonna revert my vote to a -ive, due to price jacking

  • +1

So funny, all the worth to buy products are OOS..

    • Because they insta sold out at 10am? OZB has quite the number of viewers you know. I had the thing I wanted in cart the pay so at 10:00:01 I applied the code and purchased.. it took 20sec to complete which to me indicates it was little busy on the hour.

      • +2

This is not the case, I checked the purchase history, none was sold..They just shut down for particular products I believe.

        • +1

Hmm OK. fair enough to be annoyed, but I think to be fair we need to remember its not like they promoted this sale early. It was promoted from 10AM by ebay (i got my ebay email at 10:15) and from that time they had items to sell discounted listed.

As I said above, If they can't take a 20% discount on something I would rather they removed it then jacked it up to look like they can.

          • @Elijha: Ultimately I think price jacking can run afoul of ACCC and/or state body regulations. You can't advertise a 20% off if it's not 20% off your regular sale price (not the RRP).

Solution? Just pull the products you don't want to drop that margin on - it's only one sales channel after all.

        • That's right, couple of items I was watching went OOS way before the 10am start.

      • +1

this item was suddenly out of stock minutes before the sale.

  • Thanks. Got the UniFi 6 LR. Had enough stock

  • +7

was gonna get their " Apple iPad mini (6th Gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular 256GB - Pink MLX93X/A" but it went OOS literally minutes before the deal went live.

  • +2

Just in 5 mins all macbook air is Out of stock.

    • +3

They didn’t sell but removed it and made them oos…

      • +1

They must have done the same for the remaining 14" and 16" MacBook Pros.

  • Just bought the MX keys. OP said it would cost $155. Actually came up as $143.20. Pretty happy with this

  • +1

There still there they just changed the listing. All MacBook airs were marked OOS but there were new listing at the same price if you searched the store.
I got one that way anyway.

  • Are there any bargain NAS ? My decade old mediaserver died last night :( RIP buddy

  • +9

Def appears stock was pulled galore before 10am kick off. Disgraceful bait.

    • +1

      Agreed

  • Bought the ipad mini. thanks OP

  • Grabbed a mini ipad cheers dealbot

  • Do a lot of people feel let down? Seems a bit sneaky.

    • +3

Yep, tried to get a M1 Air at 10:01 and all showing as sold out, when I checked earlier they were all in stock. Bait and bloody switch…..

      • Wow that is bad practice !

        • +3

I think they changed the listings at 9.55. I had an M1 air in my cart that showed OOS at 10.00. I searched the store again and found new listings for the M1 air and bought one from the new listing with the discount code. I assume they did it this way to limit the number of devices they sold at a discount- but there were some.

          • @tomcat83: I did the same and got one M1 air. It is withtin my expectation that this kind of drama could happen so it's better to be well prepared

  • Also got the ipad mini with the free case. Had wanted the 256gb base ipad but all the stock disappeared overnight. Still reasonably happy

    • How did you manage to score a free case?

  • Just bought Ipad mini to finish my 160 ebay credits.
    Thanks

Ubiquiti UDM SE Unifi Dream Machine Special Edition Network Gigabit Switch

$732.42 delivered with eBay Plus using PLUSFY22

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334466527912

    • I'm only planning on getting a normal UDM pro for $497, but having trouble convincing myself when the Asus 86u is working ok.

I do already have a unifi 24 port switch and 2 u6 lites

      • I guess it depends on whether you like to have everything in one eco system or not. There's other advantages to the SE over the older Pro, like NVR, POE and 10G support.

        • +1

I've already got a security camera using Synology surveillance station so no NVR. PoE in my 24 port switch, and my internal network doesn't really need 10gbit.

Also the NVR is in the normal pro, the se just comes with the bigger SSD for storage.

I agree the PoE would be great for people who didn't need a large switch.

    • They just jacked the price, so we'll see if they'll honour my purchase or not

    • Price came out to $810.42 with 22% off??? Did they price jack? Ended up getting UDM SE for $750 from Wireless 1 deal

      • Yes I saw they sold 2 out of 5 available then hiked the price. We'll see if they cancel or not.

  • +3

Yeah they pulled all the Mac stuff. Negged.

  • Good to be busy at work today. No time to buy discounted toys.

  • +1

6900 xt TUF for 1150. Thanks!

  • Thanks so much, picked up the MX Keys keyboard this morning - down to $143.20 with free express shipping :)

    • +1

Great low profile keyboard, you won't be dissapointed.

  • +3

no stock of mac stuff sketchy detch
no macbook airs sold since 10 may

    • -1

Just to put a positive spin on it. Green light now for you to get a Macbook Air M2. That's the one we really want. It will have single core performance even M1 Ultra cannot match.

      • Yeah at worst get 10% edu discount

        • M2 with 10% edu discount…. hm…. have to stop impulsive buying new toys all the time.

      • But M1 is crazy fast for 99% of everyday use anyway. M2 will cost 2x the on special price of an M1 Air

        • M1 is crazy fast? That's not what I feel with my M1. Work provides 16 inch M1 Pro laptops.

The subpar USB speed, single external display, reduced number of ports. The need to buy a Thunderbolt enclosure to compensate for subpar USB issue. Apple ripping me off for extra RAM cost.

  • +2

The price jack is real and sneaky. Everything worth buying has a higher price compared to yesterday now.

  • +5

Everyone complaining about the macs, I’m not sure why you’re surprised - I agree they could’ve announced Apple as an exclusion but you weren’t likely going to get $300ish off an already on sale MacBook that’s still in the apple store

  • I’m never buying from these guys again. I just wanted a MacBook Air but they removed the listings prior to it being sold. Like literally no one got one I believe… Also I bought AirPods max from them and they are from another country despite being listed as Australian Stock. Just beware but this company has now fully lost my trust

    • +2

I got one. I had both options in my cart, and entered the code at 10.01, and the sale went through fine.

      • Damn you must have been lucky, I clicked the ozbargain link directly to the M1 Airs at 10:01 and every one was OOS despite the fact that every single one had stock when I checked beforehand. Dodgy as hell.

  • Clicking on the asus laptops prices have been jacked bad. What a joke.

  • I am trying to buy the Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro. It is coming up as $622. When I try to input "WIRE1" it says "This code can't be applied to your order". What am I missing?

  • Wireless 1 used to be good last year, now they joined the group of the bad guys.

    • +3

Infact, they are actually Sydneytec, mobileciti, allphones. Just different skins!

      • +1

No they are ebayjack all the same
either pull listings or jack the prices
not sure why the ACCC dont do anything

        • They do that because they are incapable of providing a flat rate 10% off to then combine with feeBay's 10% off to form that real 20% off. So, they either:

          • Jack up the price (which upsets customers)
          • Pull the item (which upsets customers even more)

It isn't exactly that easy for them. If they want feeBay to fund that 10%, then they need to agree to pitch in another 10%. Also, if this isn't a 20% hype, people wouldn't be that interested. There are some items which end up being real 20% off, but it is very obvious Apple products have the highest tendency to have the price jacked or being pulled.

It's not really a big deal, especially if you are after IT/Tech gears/toys. Those Apple toys, we are letting that 20% trick us. Anyway, if you are so upset about it, go and speak to ACCC.

  • +2

    eBay sucks

    • -1

Not as bad as our superannuation at the moment. Feels like we lost 20% or more this year already.

FeeBay s****, at least money still in the pocket. Super losing money, that's money down the toilet.

No real discount on most wanted big toys for us, but some people did manage to get smaller toys at a discounted price.

  • +2

Was just about to checkout with an iPad Air this morning but it got removed. Was plenty of stock too
