Just a thread to discuss the COTD flash sale, I know everyone hates it including me, because there's never enough stock for the decent items, but that's known for COTD.

This can give you an idea of how much stock is left of each item, I will be editing to update progress.

1st Sale (11am AEST (9am GMT +8)) - Havaianas $1 + ($5.95 shipping) - quite alot of stock left
2nd Sale (12pm AEST (10am GMT +8)) - Digital Top Box $10 + ($9.90 shipping) - alot of stock left
3rd Sale (1pm AEST (11am GMT +8)) - Diablo III PC $20 + ($7.95 shipping) - sold out in 3 minutes
4th Sale (2pm AEST (12pm GMT +8)) - (delayed due to unknown reasons)* Edit: Pandora Bracelet $10 + ($6.95 shipping)
5th Sale - Facebook Exclusive Deal (like required on their App) - leads to an electronic ($29.95 + $6.95)
6th Sale - Amazon Kindle 6in Wi-Fi Reader $59 + ($9.95 shipping) - sold out super quick (first few minutes)

  • first two sales; crashed well for the first 10minutes, then after that it was smooth and seemed like plenty of stock left judging by the progress bar.
  • third sale; couldn't load the page properly, by the time it finally loaded it was already sold out (possibly extremely low qty)
  • fourth sale; first 5-10mins site lagged and crashed. deal is blank, people complaining on Facebook, no word yet. Edit: was a Pandora Bracelet
  • fifth sale; traffic is directed to Facebook App. page, requires a "Like" to access the exclusive "Small Fish" COTD link
  • sixth sale; bit of lag then sold out mintues later after many refresh attemtps.

this can also give you guys an idea of what items will be coming back in later clearance deals incase you really wanted it and missed out on the day.

    i wrote off diablo 3 cause there was no way anyone besides the first 2 ppl wud get a copy

    The only good things (D3 and Kindle) were almost impossible to get. Crap sale!

      I thought I was flying on my Kindle transaction- clicked final Paypal button to finalise sale at 6.02.40- which sent me back to COTD- SOLD OUT.

    Well, lucky enough to get an Apple TV finally. Waiting on WD hard drive.
    From the comments on Facebook, all those tried to pay by paypal were not able to complete the transaction in time before stock sold out.

      Paypal is the safest payment method, I wouldn't trust cotd with my credit card details. But unfortunately, that's what made me miss out on the great deals… sigh
