Not sure if price error or inflated RRP but for less than $20 who cares?

Worst case, keep it for your work's Kris Kringle or cheap birthday present for teenagers

    • the one in the link is compact version. pick up the full size for the same price,

  • This isn't a price error. They have been cheaper before.

Mine broke within months. Spacebar stopped working. They sent me a new one. Then I got a G512 and sold the crappy kogan one.

    • I think these are acceptable for the price, but we have had two and they both broke after a year or so.
My one it was the space bar too.

Worth it if you want to try out a mechinical keyboard, but not if you want durable quality.

  • Which one are the quieter ones? I don't want excessive clackiness.

Red switches. I have these and they're still quite loud.

      • thanks, are red ones similiar to membrane keyboards in terms of clackiness?

        • +2

Reds are supposed to be very quiet but if you buy cheap sub $20 keyboard you should not expect them to be as quiet as a premium one.

You can easily alleviate some of the noise by using a desk mat.

If you really want to get rid of the noise then you'll need to lubricate the keys. It's labour and time intensive but it makes the most difference.

  • Excellent for the price. They have been this price for a few weeks or at least were this price a few weeks ago. I bought a couple of spare reds (more expensive) and a couple of blue a few weeks ago. People are correct that they aren't as durable as brand name keyboards but while they last they are excellent and at this price buy more than one.

  • mines lasted 2 or 3 years and still going strong, for someone that codes and works from home these are phenomenal value, i've probably got 10+ years on the original keyboard for the average user

some of the leds are losing brightness but apart from that it's been perfect

moved the old one to a dedicated VR machine and bought a new one for daily use
