Microsoft Deducted Money but No Track

I noticed this transaction in my day to day transaction saving account from Microsoft for $13. I know it’s a small amount. Transaction looks very legit.

“Visa Debit Purchase
Microsoft*store Msbill.Info”

I have two Microsoft accounts and have checked them for account history but no transaction in past 3 months.

Only have one savings account and it has debit card linked to it.

If I dispute this, my debit card will be blocked and won’t be able to withdraw any cash until replacement card will be delivered.

Anyone has experienced similar kind of deductions from Microsoft and how to stop this happening in future? Thanks

Withdraw cash. Block it. Why make your life difficult with potential unauthorised withdrawls in future?

    • That’s my last option to go with if there is no other way.

My Microsoft account is linked to PayPal account which is linked to credit card from a different bank.

I think this will be your best choice. Withdraw cash, ot transfer it. Cancel card, before any more money gets deducted.

$13 is how much the Microsoft 365 Family (formerly O365 Family) costs on the monthly plan - have you signed up for that subscription?

Further info: the M365 Family pack includes licenses for up to 6 people for:

    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
    • OneDrive with 1TB storage
    • I don’t have any laptop / computer other than one supplied by work. That’s locked in every possible way by work IT. Can’t install or change anything on that.

and account payment linked PayPal with a credit card. My debit card isn’t linked to any online account.

I was on chat with Microsoft store and they checked all my Microsoft accounts but couldn’t link back to any transaction at their end.

They have also advised to call bank and raise this as unauthorized deduction.

    • Best of Luck.
