  • Solar offer Link doesn't work, price in title

  • premuim post

  • Hi all, this is our latest deal. The panels are top-level and the inverter is also a great unit, that we can offer just under $4k. The only extras are subject to your specific situation within the SE QLD area we service. Scott

  • tell em the price son!

  • +2

Yeah - it helps when you put the price in. Sorry!

  • Scott-M

Is it ever worth it to just add panels?

We have 5kw panels on a 5kw Fronius (2 channel?) inverter. What would it cost to get the extra ~1.66kw in panels on single story with tilts? Brisbane area.

  • +2

It could be - would need to assess. Please PM me or click on the deal to get in touch.

  • hi Scott-M,
how much to change the electricity box?

    • Meter box upgrades need to be individually assessed and quoted. Happy to help if you PM with your details.

      • whats your usual charge to add an extra phase to the house if you have 2 phase already? cable from street already terminates at house, and i already have solar on the other 2 phases.

        • Hi Hippy, sorry, I cant be more specific; there's no rule of thumb calculation for meter box upgrades or to go to 3 phase. Needs to be assessed.

    • Usually no more than 2k, just more expense for minimal gain.

      • Except you can usually export 5kw per phase so you can potentially triple your 'income' from the FIT - amazing though how restrictions on power are occurring at night when the solar companies who have reduced their FIT are getting heavily discounted power during the day😳🤔

        • Exactly. Strange coincidences…..

For anyone that's interested, the Choice review in 2019 "recommended" the Jinko solar panel that was tested.
It wasn't the same as this one, it was a 270W panel.
Anyhow CHOICE magazine stated that "Good points,• Very good performance across 12 months of outdoor testing". No bad points.

    • Thanks PukeyLuke, these panels are a much later series using N type silicon and Tiling Ribbon tech. They have a much longer product warranty of 20 years too.

  • Anything for micro inverters setups?
Our roof goes through shade and would like a system that would function well in those conditions

    • Hi, no deals on micros at the moment. If you want an opinion thats relevant to your home and situation, just send me a PM and I'll take a look.

      • Are battery worth it yet? 😂

        • Batteries could be an option for some people. Whether its worthwhile for you will depend on doing an audit on your situation to discover whether it ticks enough boxes.

  • Is there anyone in VIC offering something similar?

    • Not sure if they have any offers atm but I recently got a system installed in Melbourne metro by Cerium Energy and they were excellent.

  • Do you service Gympie?

  • Yes, we do go to Gympie. Just a bit extra for travel.

  • This isn't too bad for a 'middle of the market' in terms of products deal.

    • Yep. This is the first deal we've done in 7 months. There hasnt been anything worthwhile putting up at a good price.

  • Hi Scott,

This is not the Tiger Neo is it?
    Jinko's top range.

    Thanks.

  • Hi, no, this is the series before the Neo.

    • Thanks Scott. So are these on offer the N-type 60TR?

And does the inverter come with wifi for online monitoring?

  • +1

    http://solarpowerpanels.net.au/downloads/Jinko-365-Tiger-TR-…

Inverter is the Premium model - has wifi for basic monitoring on smartphone or PC

  • What happens if my roof can only fit 14-16 panels?

  • +1

That's a big disparity, so it would be picked up very early on. The deal is for the full system of 18 panels. In an instance like that we'd do our best to re-quote for you.
