Alternatives to Microsoft Surface Laptop 4

Hey guys, after some collective wisdom here…

Currently using MS Laptop 1 i7 13.5" - and loving it! Especially the screen, keyboard and just how quiet and efficient the thing is.

I was looking to upgrade to the Laptop 4 at 15" form factor but the current EOFY discounts are pathetic and the hardware is old.

Are there alternatives I'm not aware of? My priorities: Great Bright Hi-Res screen with Touch, portability, battery life

Basically is there anything similar to the 15" Microsoft Laptop 4 but either better or cheaper

  I got a 15" Surface Laptop 4 with an i7 CPU, 16Gb of RAM for just over $2000 which I thought was a pretty good price.

  I've managed to get a further 10% discount on the MSL 4 15 ryzen 16/512 by chatting to the MS sales team online. I have a "student" email - that was a one-off offer. Perhaps that helps someone
