Most Powerful Laptop Balanced with The Weight?

Im in the market for a new Laptop. My main priority is portability and being light weight. Im going to be travelling with it, so I dont want a heavy one. I also want to be able to do some light/casual gaming (Rocket League, CSGO, Valo, etc).

Whats the best laptop I can get that balances the performance with the weight? Ive been looking at the Zephyrus G14 but I dont think they sell them in Australia.

Any other recommendations?

Thanks

They do sell them in Australia.

There's also the MSI Thin series

and the Gigabyte Aero 15 series.

The most portable gaming laptop that you can buy locally is the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 at 13.4". This is more of a gaming tablet than a gaming laptop.

    • Yeah I saw that deal, but that website no longer sells the G14, just the DUO.

Also, I meant to say newer ones aren't sold in Australia. JB, Mwave and others do sell the G14, but theyre old models, and the GPUs in them are the 1060s.

I had a look at the MSI ones, and same thing as the G14, theyre old and newers ones arent sold in Australia.

The Gigabyte ones, thanks for that, are kinda hefty coming in at <2kg. My current one is about 1.3kg (although it is not a gaming laptop), so I would like to limit the weight jump as much as possible.

  • ASUS Gaming Laptop ROG Flow X13 13.4" 120Hz R9-5900HS 16GB 512GB SSD RTX3050 Touch

Last few units of the 5800HS RTX3050 ROG Zephyrus at Wireless1. Not very good price though.

  • What's your budget? You could always buy a Razer Blade if you don't have one.

Can also order from newegg, but I'm not sure what warranty would be like in that regard. There's the infinity O5 too? https://www.mwave.com.au/product/infinity-o55r7r6n899-156-16…

The 5900HX + 3070 Blade can be had on ebay now for $2600 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174852418342
The newer version with the 6900HX + 3070Ti is about $1000 more https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/363489680530

Another newer + similarly priced option is the Alienware X14 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334342803746

  • Yeah my go to would be a g14, great battery life, small and powerful.

Wouldn't get a 3050 or 1050 in this day and age tbh.

    1660ti as the minimum.

  • Upcoming laptops with the Ryzen 6800U APU (RDNA2 architecture) will have graphics that compete with low-end dedicated GPUs, in thinner laptops (with better battery life) than is possible with a seperate GPU.

Whilst I wouldn't call a laptop with this APU a "gaming laptop", eSports titles like Valorant and Rocket League are usually optimised to get high FPS on even basic GPUs, so it may be worth considering.
