How to Setup VoIP on Grandstream HT801 ATA with AussieBB?

So I switchover from Optus to ABB just month and my parents insist on keeping our landline number.
I guess I didn't do enough research but I bought Grandstream HT801 ATA thinking I could just plug in and play.
Reading the guide ABB provided to add the SIP Proxy etc but can't seem to see this setting anywhere when logged into my Asus RT-AX88U router.

I have very limited networking knowledge but is anyone able to lead me to the right direction without having me resulting to buying a new router?

Thanks!

Aussie Broadband have literally one of the best customer support teams around. Give them a call and they'll guide you through it step by step.

      This^^^^

Just call them. Tell them Grandstream and the model number (I have the exact same as you - i.e. not the AussieBB preferred model) and they'll set you up (they have installation guides for all the models). All you need to do is give them Remote Access on a Local PC.
They're really good and I've loved dealing with them on the phone (had to set it up a few times due to getting new modem/accidently resetting stuff)

The CS experience alone makes it worth the extra $ over Exetel or other cheapo providers.

      • The CS experience alone makes it worth the extra $

        That is arguable…

I don't think I've had to contact customer service for years…

  • Best to keep your VOIP separate from your ISP… makes it much easier to switch providers in future.
