I personally liked that I can work between my Note and my tab using a same pen just by flicking a switch.
Unless you want to use the S-Pen Wireless gestures and/or functions from it, then it's no point. The "Pro" S-Pen can actually do some pretty amazing stuff - from using it as a remote camera shutter to using it as a pointing device (it has an accelerometer built in that can be used like a Wiimote with the right apps).
If you just need the S-Pen for normal operations to draw and stuff, then the normal S-Pen will do. If you just wanna spend more money on getting features that most people don't need, then get the Pro pen.
