    A lot of money per downlight for general lighting, but these are great for brightly coloured novelty/decorative lights. e.g. a dance floor.
    I put one on the fish-tank. The fish don't seem to mind as long as the colours slowly change.

    The cheap "colour" lights are far, far dimmer in colour mode.
