Got myself a Hanklight (D4v2) and I need an unprotected, flat-top 18650 battery as well as a charger
Would prefer a name brand one (e.g. one from Samsung, Sony) etc. There are vape shops selling them but pretty pricey esp after shipping.
Any recommendations for where to buy?

I like my liitokala lii-500. Got it from Aliexpress. Does all my battery sizes. And you can add and remove any size battery individually at any time. I have a lot of 18650 pre postage issues, so not sure where to get them now. If I needed one now I'd pull apart one of several old laptops I have. They would have unprotected flat top. If you already have protection but it didn't fit, you can just pull off the protection.
+1 on the Liitokala. Cheap and is a 'smart' charger.

I have a Nitecore D2 which is pretty good… It's quite a few years old now so there are probably new models.
I think I got mine for around $20 off ebay. Seller was in Heidelberg VIC and had some good prices. Not sure if they are still around though.
