Just got $20 from ING...

I have an ING Savings Maximiser and Savings Accelerator (and Orange Everyday) from a few years ago that I tried to close just then over the phone as I haven't used them in more than a year (have a home loan now with offset account).
Lady over the phone offered me $20 to keep it open and switch to online statements.

I don't really understand the logic but whatever, I just got 20 bucks. Thought I'd share.

    Thanks, I too wanted to close ING account for a while, this may give me some incentive to do it now! Note I also login to the account and change to paper statements too before I call =)

      A bribe for keeping open an account that's not in use… whatever, good enough :)
