  • Is this GaN?
    Thanks

Unlikely. I've found on the Zyron web site that if it has GaN technology then it will be stated in the item description.

    • No.

It is a Super Si charger.

If it was GaN technology, don't you think Zyron would market the sh*t out of it?

    • Super Si.

  • i fail to see the points of these desktop style chargers. i'd just get a good quality GaN ones that can move around with me.

I prefer these "desktop type chargers" that can be placed a bit further away from the power socket. Not everyones power socket is always at a convenient location. Plus, sometimes the huge chargers will block the adjacent power sockets and also might fall off the power socket due to the weight.
Also some of these desktop chargers have a figure 8 type cable on the back, so can change it to whatever adaptor to suit.

    • If you have a number of things on your desktop you need to charge (e.g. a semi-permanent WFH setup), it's less clutter than having multiple cables go back to the power socket.

I have this, the baseus 100w and a zyron 120w GaN. I ended up never use this as the baseus already does fast charging and is basically a powerpoint while the GaN charger is a lot more compact.
This isn't a bad price but there are better alternative.

i'm considering this one based on the C1+C2 ports giving 60W each when both in use - for laptop charging.

Do you know any alternatives that would be able to do the same? So far most I can see drop C2 down to 40W or less?

      • I'm using the zyron 120w GaN. Was on sale for $70 I think. Spec says it does 60w + 60w and a lot more compact compare to this deskpod one.

I got this last time amazon had cashback. I was abit skeptic at first sinc most products are just relabelled generics. The only comments I have about this product is that the USB ports are actually upside down when you have it in the stand. The chinese version has been updated to fix this already.
Idle power consumption was low low.
Loaded it with 2 laptops 60w each then 2 10w iphones.
Charging fine and power measured 150w from the wall fine.
Only weird thing about it was that the writing labelled on the product says MAX 100w………clearly it isn't…….but maybe re using old cases not sure what happened.
I've been happy with it so far. My ZMI 65w desktop charger busted and I decided to try this one.
    So far so good.
This product listed as 2 year warranty. Some of the other products onthe Zyron webpage list as 12months only.
When loaded with 150w, it was warm warm, not hot burning though.
    Pretty happy with it.

at $78 delivered i think its a good buy.

  • Anyone try this with Oppo Find X phones? If not compatible, anyone know which brand that is compatible with Oppo Find X super vooc charge? Thanks

    • No it will charge as fast as the phone will accept but SuperVooc is proprietary.

It has to be an official Oppo SuperVooc charger. Even the USB cable has to be a particular type
