  • Ugh… I've already got supply through May 2023. What is the expected use-by-date here?

  • The reviews of this products is mixed, great product to almost killed my dog, I am unlikely to take the risk

    • Wow 54 out of 86 reviews give it a 1star.

I always thought that these are one of the better tablets. Would you suggest a different brand?

      • +1

Yes, but a lot of people can't be bothered reviewing a product positively, but take the time to air their grievances.

  • +3

Fun fact - these are the exact same active ingredients for the different sized dogs, but just a higher dose. So getting the bigger size and cutting them in half is exactly the same as getting the smaller size.

So if you have 2 10kg dogs, instead of buying two boxes of green for $130, one box of purple will have exactly the same doses for $71.

Only reason not to do this is you do need to cut them in half - if you forget, you'll double-dose your dogs. Read the package each time.

    • +2

Please provide proof that you can actually cut these in half as in order to cut medicine in half they have to be equally distributed amongst each tablet.
      Are these equally distributed?

      • They always claim it won't be evenly distributed but it would be highly unlikely not to be.

        • Maybe this is what the 'almost killed my dog' brigade believed, and double-dosed their dogs …

Having said that, I find it hard to believe that a 29KG dog will be harmed seriously if they have a tablet designed for a 31KG dog. 30-60KG is a huge range for just 1 tablet to cover.

Pet medicines are horrendously priced though. It's even worse when you realise you can buy human medicine with the same active ingredient for significantly less.

          • @photonbuddy: Sure, but what about a 15kg dog taking a tablet for a 30kg dog?

            • -1

@deme: If you read the manual in the box, it says it's safe for a dog to have two doses e.g. feeding a 15kg dog up to two tablets.

If you look at the ingredients, one 30kg tablet has double the active ingredients of one 15kg tablet. So one 30kg tablet is fine for a 15kg dog.

              • @blahhhhh: @blahhhhh: if you read OPs post you'll see they talked about cutting them.

So if you have 2 10kg dogs, instead of buying two boxes of green for $130, one box of purple will have exactly the same doses for $71.

        • This isn't even the case for human meds, if they don't have a score on them don't cut them.

  • A few days ago I bought 3.6-7.5kg (YELLOW) on Amazon $54 delivered, And then a new offer to sell popped up at $50!

  • Yellow 6 pack OOS
