Which Pre-Built PC Is Better?

Hi all,

Trying to decide which pre-built PC to get however unsure which would be better. Both are within my budget so we can ignore pricing for the purposes of this comparison.

My main uses would be either playing games such as Dota (however would also like the capability to play higher graphic games as well in the future).
I will also be looking to run programs such as music production software (eg. Ableton) and Adobe Software which likely require processing power.

Option 2:
https://techfast.com.au/products/AMD-Ryzen-5-5500-RTX-3070-8…

Any comments from those with experience would be much appreciated! Or if anyone has seen any other pre-built PC's around for the EOFY sales - please feel free to share :)

Thanks!

A little hard to compare since you're swapping between both AMD/Intel as well as AMD/Nvidia GPUs. Either should be a good all-rounder.

Both sellers are the better value ones on OzBargain - I've bought from TechFast a few times now with really good deals but the lead times are generally several weeks. Haven't tried BPC yet but their deals are also very good generally.

    • Thanks for your advice! Are you saying it may take over 1 month to ship?

      • For some deals on OzB it definitely has taken that long. I have bought from their eBay store and had the two PCs delivered within four days! Although that's definitely an outlier. Usually takes a fortnight on average.

If it's not an advertised deal on OzB then you shouldn't be too worried.

Techfast id definitely suggest clicking the drop down list for the CPU and selecting the AMD 5600 CPU for $79 more

Have a watch of Gamers nexus where you can see exactly why i said to go for the cpu upgrade.

    • Thank you, i will consider upgrading the CPU!

    CPU: BPC tech
    Mobo: Both ok
CPU cooler: BPC tech by a lot
    Ram: Both ok
    SSD: both ok
    GPU: Techfast
    PSU: BPC tech
    Case BPC tech

BPC tech PC is better balanced overall with decent/good branded components, while you don't know what RAM, SSD, GPU and PSU brand you will get. The case you get with techfast is also awful. Also, 650W for rtx 3070 is pushing quite a bit.

    • Thanks for your summary, it looks like BPC tech looks more enticing.

      1. Could you please confirm what you mean by 650W for rtx 3070 is pushing it quite abit - are you suggesting that i should change the PSU from Techfast if I decide to go with Techfast?

      2. It looks like the GPU from techfast is significantly higher value than BPC - given I can get both BPC/Techfast options at approx the same price - do you think it would be more worthwhile to go with BPC however this would be a worse GPU? If I go with techfast, I'll also be upgrading the CPU to the AMD 5600 CPU.

      3. Is the upgradeable case option that Techfast offer decent? Also when you mention that it is bad, could you please clarify what specifically is bad?

  • Option 1
If you look at the drop down menu for the mobo, you can get the MSI Z590 mobo for free. Some other upgrades are cheap too. If you buy b4 the end of the month, u get a free pair of gaming headphones. Also, there are a magnitude of buying options. So option 1, 4 me :)

    • Thanks for your opinion!

Is the MSI Z590 mobo supposedly better than Gigabyte Z590 UD Intel LGA 1200? If so, could you share your thoughts on why just for my interest haha.
If I go with BPC, it is unlikely I will be going for any of the upgrade options they have there as this would start to increase the price by quite alot.

      • I have always bought ASUS mobos until they did something dirty (which I can't remember due to my memory being totalled.
No-one like Gigabyye mobos for one reason or another, it should be easy to 'duckduckgo' it (I hate google)
I have watched MSI rise up in the ranks over recent years so I bought one of their mobos when I jumped the intel ship for the ryzen (all I could afford was the 3800X), but I bought the MEG X570 ACE w/2 sticks of 16GB Corsair Dominators.& a black D15 :p https://imgur.com/hE3hUtU
Don't talk to me about EVGA, them back stabbers. I had down a 3080 FTW variant & I waited. Long story short, they kicked me off because I was on the USA list & they don't post to AU. They said I should have joined on the AU site. I tell them, I joined b4 the AU site was even an itch in your pants. They didn't care, so stuff 'em. But I have a 1200W platinum PSU I bought 7 years ago thou
