Amazon Category for Cashrewards

I was so frustrated after clicking cashrewards for Amazon and discovering that the item does not fall under the cash back category.
Cashreward's help in determining the product category is ambiguous.

Help here: https://help.cashrewards.com.au/support/solutions/articles/1…

Ordered once and followed the instructions, it shows that it is under Clothing, Shoes & Accesories, which at the time had a 2% cashback. Then cashbaack returned to me and said it was under "apparel." How did it happen?

I don't have enough cash back to prove this is correct, but https://au.camelcamelcamel.com appears to show the correct category.
Simply find the product details on that website, and it will display the category. It is where I discovered the item in the apparel "Product Group".

Pretty sure they just pull the category out of a hat because they sure don't match what the item appears under on the site.

As a nerd I do NOT smoke.
As a share market investor I had to learn the hard way that tobacco is actually a totally essential food item.
    They just call it "staples".
Now I know: The smart try to punish the stupid to make money.
But the landscape is changing every day.
At the end it is just "size" matters ?

    • U ok bro?

      • Yep, after giving up on bad food things go up!
To be more relevant to the topic: Cashrewards are the new HN of the trade, thriving on the lowest socioeconomic demographic..
        Blame the ANZ bank ?

  • Exactly the same thing happened to me. Cashrewards confirmed my item was from a different catagory even though I clicked teh kitchen ware link on Amazon. Best was is to take screenshots of the listing and the cashback offer
