Went to Harvey Norman @ Malaga WA today to buy the Call of Duty MW3. As I was browsing through the aisles, I saw Play TV advertised for $40. I had been looking to buy one of these for some time and $40 is an awesome price. Immediately picked up one. Plenty in stock (see pic).
WTH. Malaga had got all the bargains today!!

Just FYI for people if your a linux tv person (tvheadend, mythtv, openelec, etc), the playtv tuner is really quite a good option, @ 40$ it'd be about the best choice you could get bang for buck wise.
You're saying it can be used with a linux HTPC?

The stock of Play TV's is pretty much the same with only 4 or 5 sold since that last photo. (Malaga) Same with the $25 Call of Duty MW3's. Heaps left.

All, read up before buying, "PlayTV crackling, breaking up of signal". I have it, Worked Ok for a while, now most of the recordings are unwatchable. Changed HDD no improvements. If I could return it I would (purchased well over 12 months ago). I have a fat PS3, and I wouldn't buy a new slim just to see if it;s the hardware, the HDD is the most I was willing to do.
They wanted $149 for these at HN Broadway in Sydney! Nearly 4x this price … gosh the gouging mark-up on that!
Just spoke to them and it looks like the deal has expired.
Apparently it was a weekend special and they are now priced at $64.
Maybe that store clearing gaming stuff?
