Custom Whitening Trays

Has anyone had any experience having custom whitening trays made up for them?

Has anyone got any tips about using peroxide gel for teeth whitening in particular?

I found this mob who for about $250-300 will get you started. I'm told local dentists are around $500.

It depends on individuals but if you're just after improving teeth yellowing then these actually work: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/78589/Oral-B-3D-Whit…

You must be strict in doing them daily for an hour and avoiding acidic drinks, smoking etc and you'll see results.

Couple it with Colgate's 3% whitening toothpaste: https://www.amazon.com.au/Colgate-Whitening-Toothpaste-Hydro…

No need for expensive treatments, just basic hygiene.

  • The kits are effective, that one seems expensive.
The issue is you only get one set of adult teeth and misuse of this product will attack the tooth enamel and make it brittle.
Best to get a qualified dentist to fix your teeth even if it costs more.

  • If you have other major dental work that needs doing too, then you might consider flying to an elite dental hospital in Hungary or Thailand to get it all done cheaper than even the worst dentist in Australia would, after doing thorough research and making sure to get qualified followup care here in Australia.

Can ask your dentist how much for just trays to be made, mine charged me $126, they are miles better than silicone diy ones, i used 1 tube of https://www.whitersmile.com.au/collections/best-sellers/prod… after trying 2 tubes of phillips zoom overnight https://www.whitersmile.com.au/collections/best-sellers/prod…, the zoom worked but the whiter smile stuff got me a couple of shades lighter, got a total of 6 shades lighter, I brush teeth with Oral-B enamel restore. Neither product irritated me much. Would advise getting a dental checkup and clean before you begin.

Custom whitening trays are needed for best results. The strips will partly miss some convex tooth gaps.

Hydrogen Peroxide is the best bet. 6% is the strongest you can get over the counter. If you have sensitive teeth, you'll need carbamide peroxide. It takes a bit longer but is as effective.

Both do not harm tooth enamel.

Always good to see the great intellect of some of the commenters.

Custom whitening trays are the best because they allow the whitening gel to stay exactly where they need to be, so the concern is that with the DIY kits the mould you take may not be adequate to cover all the areas. it took me a long time to get good at taking impressions, and even I retake them frequently because sometimes theyre just not adequate

I would just honestly go see a dentist and have them made, once you have the trays most places will just sell you the whitening gel by itself.
