Lenovo Legion 7i 2022 price in Aus

Hi guys,

Lenovo just released 2022 Legion 7i in China last night, with CNY 19,999 (pre-order price @ CNY 17,999) for RTX 3070 Ti GPU model & CNY 26,999 (pre-order price @ 24,999).for RTX 3080 Ti variant. Do the maths for AUD conversion by yourself.

So, my question is what would be the price for Australia? Any thoughts???

In addition, I’ve notice that seems like Aus gets the higher price than other countries? Apart from GST and Import tax, what else contribute the higher price in Australia market?

Thanks in advance.

  • Sales volume also influences price.

There are billions of people in Asia.

    • Ahh… I guess you could be right.

  • You can get the below from Aftershock PC there's just wait times at the moment - who knows how long.

    AFTERSHOCK VAPOR 17X - RTX 3070 TI - $3838
    Intel i9-12900H (14 Core 12th Gen)
    17.3" 240Hz 1440P Wide Color Gamut
    Windows 11 Home - Unactivated
    92Whr Extra Large Battery
    Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201
    32GB DDR5 4800MHZ RAM
    1TB Samsung 980 Pro
    2TB Samsung 970 Plus
3 Year Pickup and Return Warranty

  • Legion 5i Pro is about $4400 with a 3070, currently about $3800 on sale (extra $100 for the 3070ti).

I assume it's not coming to Australia though, since they didn't bring the last Legion 7 model here either AFAIK. Not a big market for $5-6k laptops here.

    • Legion 5i Pro Gen7 with RTX 3070 Ti costs CNY 11,999 (~AUD2.5K) in China. What’s that AUD 1.3k made up of?

      • import costs, support costs (paying for Lenovo Australia to fix stuff and 2 years warranty) and Australia tax. Margin will be 30% on these instead of 10% in China, simply because of volume. If they bring 20 to Australia they might not sell them all, but they'll sell a few thousand in China.

        • Sounds reasonable, but for this price, why not go with ROG or AW instead
