Demon Slayer over Naruto and One Piece? Interesting. DBZ I understand, you had to grow up with it.

That doesn't mean something isnt overrated.
Story line is boring, nezuko is a plot device, the characters are annoying except the boar guy, there's barely any character growth. The fighting styles aren't exactly memorable, every breathing form seems to just be a slash, lots of things introduced in the story that weren't explained properly, the final villain was a bore, just off the top of my head.
To each their own, you've commented like 5 different times to different people expressing the same opinion… I think we get it, you don't like this anime :D

The animation in the anime is top class.
Haven't read the managa so can't comment.@congo: yeah can't fault the animation but good animation can only do so much. I'd choose a good story line with mediocre animation over a crap one with amazing animation any day of the week. I wish even something like Jujutsu kaisen got as much attention as Demon Slayer did.
It's a good anime for what it is: an animation showcase, a cultural showcase which captures the Japanese sensibilities, the music+sound mixing+voice acting is top-notch and kids love the characters. Has its flaws but what anime doesn't?
It's the amount of flaws and poor story telling while being this popular, hence why I said it's overrated.
Yes but it's a shounen anime/manga for kids so it's gimped from the start. It's like….you can't take a kid to an art museum and expect them to appreciate the intricacies of a marble statue. They're going to be asking to go to the kid's section where it's like a giant paper wall where everyone gets to draw on it.
@nGu: Yeah, if it's designed for kids then I have no complaints… It's the adults who say it's good..
@[Deactivated]: From their pov perhaps they consider it to be a good children's anime which they can also enjoy so they'll overlook any flaws in storytelling and whatnot. Shounen anime is straightforward and easy to understand and doesn't have "layers" which seinen/adult anime does.
I find that people are more honest with their criticisms if it's an adult anime because their expectations are higher.
@nGu: let's hope they consider it a children's only anime. But still, even a children's story can be good, I think one piece and Naruto do a lot better in appealing to both and even cartoons like SpongeBob, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls can appeal to adults because they subtly put themes in there so they're still really enjoyable. Demon Slayer is not…it's so boring and bland in general. The only good things I can say are animation, music, and character design. As I said, it's overrated just because of the amount of attention it gets, from everyone. Not the anime itself, there are worse out there.
