Major Update for Sony's XR (2021+) TVs Enables Local Dimming on VRR Mode

Sony just pushed an update that sorts out the ONE major flaw of this great LED panel, the inability to have local dimming on VRR mode, thus destroying the imagine quality significantly in order to turn on Variable Refresh Rate (VRR)

I just updated my TV just now, so it's being rolled out for Aus region. Hopefully nothing breaks!

If this work as it promises then us owners can feel less bad about the C1 OLED prices going around lol.

Will test on the PS5 and share my experience, anyone else that are on this update, do share how it is.

    Been out a few days and seems it does indeed work well as intended.

      haven't got the chance to try it yet but, this is huge. I honestly had given up with sony's track records on them abandoning supports on their previous models. What model are you on?
