      Nice! Which Seamaster?

      “A little more”….whut?
      Seamasters start at $8250AUD new.

  • any deals for ref#96A225 Ive been hanging for that to go sub$400

    • $399 for that too. But whats the difference? Nato strap?

      • Yes and a nicer display box … the Velcro strap has the mission date, which is cool … that’s the band I use.

    • i see the 96A225 is polished vs the 96B251 with the bead blasted. anyone care to share which one looks best? extra bracelet probably wont be worn from the 96B251.

  • I have one of these, and it’s great, but be warned that it’s both very big, and wears very flat. If you don’t have a pretty big wrist (say, 7 inches or more), it’s not going to be very comfortable. But if you can pull it off, it’s a great buy.

I keep coming across this comment, that it's some behemoth. Utter crap

I've got one and run a 6.5" wrist. Fits perfectly, feels perfect and looks fantastic.

Don't be discouraged if you have a smaller wrist.

      • If it works for you, great. But if you’re spending $400 on a watch, it’s worth keeping in mind. The watch isn’t small – it’s 45mm, which is as big as “normal” watches tend to get (though it’s not tall, in proportion to the width, which is nice), and it has a long lug-to-lug and a very flat caseback. I have 7.5 inch wrists and it feels a bit on the big side to me. It’s not unwearable, and it’s a nice watch (even for a $400 quartz), but it’s not going to suit everyone.

have one and it wears fine ….it’s not a thick watch and it has a great finish. also have the stainless band version which i haven’t worn year from last deal ….note: the pins on the metal band version are different to the leather and nato version, so can’t just fit metal band later ….if happy with leather and nato version, it’s a great watch at a great price.

  • The Omega is a 42mm.Seamaster Professional 300m.Quartz for $3900….

    • must be used …seamaster stopped doing quartz years ago, was $1900 new when released, the auto was $2300.
have one of these and wear more often then my auto version ….

Have this watch and absolutely love it. Currently wearing it with a third party NATO Bond strap so I don't damage the originals (NATO black and black leather).

On paper the dimensions look bulky but in real life on the wrist it isn't - and I dont have a large wrist. This is because the dial is only 41mm and rest of the case recedes when you look at it. Furthermore the straps come in very close to the dial face that it enhances the impression of a smaller watch. The sides of the case itself are slim and I sometimes think they look like two facing lunar crescents holding the straps.

In terms of time it is the most accurate in my collection. Synchronised it with a atomic clock website in April and it is just noticably 1 second behind now. According to specs rated accuracy is +/- 10 sec a year.

BTW This is the only model that has the date dial if that is an important consideration.

What I love is its understated appearance and superhero lifestory. I get a secret shameful satisfaction when I wear it in public that nobody notices it or knows about its cool and interesting backstory with the space race to the moon, the asscoiation to the Omega Speedmaster, but most of all its stellar time keeping performance in its class.

Also got it from Starbuy with amazing service. Would really love to get the Stealth version but … thinking thinking thinking.

    • Could you share a link to the third party strap?

    • nice post! and agree 100%
