Temporary Replacement for Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra

Hello All,
I unfortunately cracked the screen of my Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra and now i need to get the screen replaced. Contacted Samsung and they told its gonna cost me $510 and they will keep the phone for around 1 week. I have insurance so it should be ok. However i use my phone for work and with all the MFA setups these days cannot survive without my phone.

So my question is: what is a cheap alternative (Android) for my phone to enable me keep using MFA (google authenticator, Microsoft authenticator) for a couple of weeks? Has anyone gone through similar issue?

  • The Nokia C01 at $59 (Vodafone-locked) is a decent candidate. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/nokia-c01-…

Just make sure you do the export/backup and confirm your keys are correctly transferred to the new device before you send the old one off.

  • Do you have your old phone still? If so just use that. Authenticator apps use basically no resources and will run on a potato phone…

    • Or does a family member have an old phone you could borrow for the week?

  • Get s21 from JB $621

  • To do it for free install an Android emulator on your computer. Install Google authenticator and Microsoft authenticator in the emulator. Can find emulators at: https://www.androidauthority.com/best-android-emulators-for-…
